THE warmer weather is here which means open-air seasonal shopping is back at the Golden Plains Twilight Market.

Returning on Thursday 14 December at the Bannockburn Heart, stalls full of produce and handmade gifts are set to help marketgoers tick everything off their present-buying or ingredient lists.

The Golden Plains Twilight Market comes at the perfect time in the lead up to the holidays,” said acting director community, planning and growth, Emma Wheatland.

“Family and friends can enjoy an evening out shopping for the festive season, listening to live music by Kieran Tobin and local Bannockburn student performers, indulge in a variety of food from around the world and enjoy a local wine, craft beer or cocktail.

“There’s also plenty of free activities for the kids to enjoy as well as a special visit from santa with the CFA.”

Stallholders will include gourmet provedores, fresh fruit and vegetable farmers, flower growers, free range meat producers, vegan treat makers, artists, and craftspeople.

Ms Wheatland said the market has doubled in size within the last three years.

“There’s over 90 stallholders set to appear at the market this year as opposed to 47 in 2020,” she said.

“We’re expecting a turnout of over 3000 people at the Bannockburn Heart and encourage local and non-local residents to come along for a fun night out.

“If you’re looking to stock up on food for your festive feasts, do some last-minute Christmas shopping, or just enjoy an evening with family and friends, the Golden Plains Twilight Market is the place to be.”

Golden Plains Twilight Market will run from 4pm to 9pm at 22 Byron Street.
