THE next round of Golden Plains Shire’s Community Planning Program will include the towns of Enfield, Smythesdale, Barunah Park, Ross Creek/Smythes Creek and Napoleons.
Expressions of interest are open for community members or groups who would like to take part in the process.
The program aims to provide a way for residents to identify and prioritise projects for the community and include them in a four-year plan.
The plan also builds visibility for funding opportunities from varying tiers of government.
“This program is a great opportunity for community members to strengthen their own communities and build resilience for the prosperity of their town,” Golden Plains Shire mayor Cr Sarah Hayden said.
“Council is on the look-out for local community-minded residents and groups to get involved and help shape the future of their local town.”
A Community Planning Program coordinator will engage with residents through surveys, interviews and public meetings.
Expressions of interest can be submitted by contacting Golden Plains Shire’s community partnership officer via [email protected] or phoning 5220 7111.
