How to get to Geelong Cup

STAFF at the Geelong Racing Club have issued comprehensive transport information for people attending the bet365 Geelong Cup next week.

Set for Wednesday 25 October, the day full includes a full card of horse races, as well as fashion, food and wine for race enthusiasts and casual attendees alike.

The Geelong Racecourse, situated at 99 Breakwater Road in Breakwater and there’s free parking on-site.

Once the main car park reaching capacity, an auxiliary car park across the road will be available.

The Geelong Racing Club is offering free bus services on race day with pick up from South Geelong Station on Yarra Street to the course running every half-hour between 10.30am and 1.30pm.

For the way back they’ll go from 4.30pm to 7pm from the gate to the racecourse within the showgrounds and drop-off at South Geelong Station and Moorabool Street Interchange

Keep an eye out for busses marked Geelong Cup and South Geelong Station and City.

Other public transport options include a V/Line service two and from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station while the route 40 bus, links from Geelong Station to the intersection of Church and Tucker streets.

The Racecourse is a five-minute walk from that stop.

A limited number of general admission tickets are still available for Wednesday’s Geelong Cup.
