Huge summer Festival line-ups announced
A PRELIMINARY line-up jam packed with local and international talent has been announced for the thirty-second Meredith Music Festival, which takes place from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 December at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre.
Known for its quirky, sometimes unexpected acts, this year is no exception with the inclusion of 70s soft rock sensation Leo Sayer and old school American funk band Zapp.
The City Of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band will also make its annual appearance.
The Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir will sing in the Western Arrarnta and Pitjantjatjara languages while another First Nations artist, rapper and musician BARKAA will also perform.
Electronic music fans won’t miss out with the UK’s Jamie xx, Sweden’s Olof Dreijer and Berlin-based Aussie duo IN2STELLAR announced on the roster.
The famous (mostly) nude Meredith Gift will return on the Sunday of the Festival.
Meanwhile, the lineup for New Year’s Eve festival Beyond The Valley at Barunah Plains Homestead is also hot off the press.
British noughties chart toppers the Sugababes and Natasha Bedingfield are on the bill alongside local outfits Confidence Man, Teenage Dads, The Grogans and The Terrys!
DJs FISHER, Nina Las Vegas, DJ Boring and, randomly, former WNBA and Opals basketballer Liz Cambage have also been announced.
On-site accommodation options including lux camp, pre-pitched tents, premium camping and general camping tickets will be available during the festival.
