Trivia night for kinder play space
PEOPLE at Inverleigh are being invited to have some fun testing their general knowledge together.
The Inverleigh Early Learning Centre Parent Committee is running a trivia night fundraiser on Saturday, 13 August at the Inverleigh Football Clubrooms.
A professional trivia host will lead four or five rounds of questions, while games, a silent auction, door prizes, and raffles will also run with support from local businesses.
The ELC’s staff have a goal to begin updating the kinder’s outdoor play space with the money raised.
IELC Committee president Amy Ooi said community engagement is also a main aim of the evening.
“Given that in the last two-and-a-half years we haven’t had social events, we thought it would be great to bring the whole wider Inverleigh community together for some fun and laughs, not just the early learning centre community,” she said.
“Being in a small town, a lot of people that are supporting us have had kids go through the kinder in the past as well, whether it be three or 10 years ago.
“It’s just a great night for new people to come along to and meet others in the community in a comfortable and welcoming space, for people who know each other to mingle, and to create that sense of community we’ve missed.”
The trivia night is the parent committee’s major fundraiser for 2022, but Ms Ooi said any funds made on the night will be positive.
“We hope we might be able to raise at least $2000, but we will be happy as long as we make a profit for the kinder,” she said.
