MAUDE Landcare Group’s annual report, tabled at a recent AGM, highlighted the group’s tree planting activities.

The group spruced up the Maude Recreation Reserve and the Spiller’s Bridge site on Perdrisat Road.

Outgoing President Peter Stray said the work was carried out with the financial support of Golden Plains Shire.

“Regional Roads Victoria also assisted by delivering mulch and rocks from its duplication works on the Midland Highway as well as a supply of plants,” he said.

Also noted in the report was the serrated tussock eradication plan, for the first area of land identified, is almost complete.

And last but not least the annual rabbit poisoning campaign in Maude was successfully carried again earlier this year.

New office bearers, President Robert Lynch and Laura Hollingsworth as Secretary were elected at the meeting.
