PULL out your diary and flip open your calendar because this year’s dates for the Golden Plains Farmers’ Market have been announced.

Held on the first Saturday of each month and kicking off on 5 February, the popular market will house returning stallholders selling locally grown and handmade food, art, eco-friendly products and feature live entertainment.

Each event is located at the Bannockburn Heart, on the corner of Milton and High Streets from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

Last year’s market scheduling was heavily interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including a three-month hiatus between the July and October events.

However, the program finished off strong with a record 75-plus stallholder turnout to their final market of last year, the annual twilight market.

This year’s evening edition event is scheduled for 15 December, and the Golden Plains Shire stated each market will feature COVID safe measures like QR code check ins.

The much-loved market won the tourism and hospitality award at the 2017 Geelong Business Excellence Awards, with a variety of offerings to browse from businesses both local and outside the region.

Past stallholders include Moorabool Valley Wildflowers, Simply Fi Handbags, ShortHive Honey, Leighgrove Olives and Wes Eggs.
