Midlands Ladies roll up for triples event

FOLLOWING the success of Central Wendouree’s Ladies Triples Tournament, Midlands Bowling club held its first triples event on Wednesday, 28 November.

The event proved popular with fourteen bowling clubs represented by the 84 competitors who participated.

Winners for the day were Bethany Dixon, Sue Peters and Jan Vincent, on a countback from runners-up Lyn Kelly, Judy Winnell and Carlene Bowers.

First game winners were Nora Walters, Norma Day and Helen Burzacott.

Second game winners were Val Savage, Trish Copeman and Val Page.

Scattered Rinks went to Dot McGregor (Lead), Maria Arthurson (2nd), and Lois Hetherington (Skip).

Organisers sent a big thank you to the sponsors for the day, Ballarat Cystic Fibrosis Inc.

The next Triples for Midlands will be on 16 January, next year.
