GOLDEN Plains Shire has collaborated with community groups, sporting clubs, fitness instructors and residents to create a program of events to promote health and community.
The Active Golden Plains – Thrive in 2025 program aims to encourage the community to get active through accessible and enjoyable physical activity options for all ages and abilities.
The program will begin on Monday 7 April and will run until Saturday 19 April across the Shire, with more events to be scheduled throughout the year.
Activities include beginner ballet, soft tennis, Tai Chi, walking, tennis and more.
Mayor Cr Sarah Hayden encouraged residents to try the activities.
“Active Golden Plains – Thrive in 2025 offers people of all ages and abilities an opportunity to partake in physical activity and connect with the community,” she said. “I encourage all community members to take advantage of council’s website where there is a dedicated platform providing access to the latest programs and initiatives, empowering our community to stay active, connected and engaged.”
