New chair for water board
CENTRAL Highlands Water has announced new appointments to its board, including the utility’s first female chair.
Current deputy-chair Angeleen Jenkins will take a step up from 1 October and is joined four new directors on the CHW governance and oversite group.
CHW managing director Paul O’Donohue welcomed Ms Jenkins to her new role.
“Angeleen will continue to bring a great deal of experience, knowledge and continuity in addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the water industry and our region,” he said.
Along with Ms Jenkins, returning driectors include Peter Le Lievre, Rachel Thomson and Mark McKenzie.
They are joined by four new additions – Scott Williams, Tony Peake, Linda McNeill and Lynne McLennan.
“I am confident that each new board director will help guide CHW and ensure that we continue to fulfil our important purpose, as an essential service to our communities,” Mr O’Donohue said.
Mr O’Donohue also took time to thank CHW’s outgoing directors, including the departing chair.
“I would like to sincerely thank our retiring board directors, including Dr Jeremy Johnson AM, who has ably led our board as chair for over a decade, as well as director’s Jodi Heath and Jim Hallam, who both served for four years,” he said.
