Nominations welcome for state history awards
ENTRIES are now open for the 2019 Victorian Community History Awards, celebrating those who proactively preserve the state’s history.
Committed people who are involved with historical projects in the community, and are keeping local stories alive are eligible for 10 categories of awards, and money, this year.
The gongs up for grabs include Victorian Premier’s History Award, Collaborative Community History Project, Local History Project, History Publication, Local History – Small Publication, Cultural Diversity Project, Multimedia History Project, Historical Interpretation, Oral History, and History Article (Peer-Reviewed).
The awards are presented by the Public Record Office Victoria and the Royal Historical Society of Victoria. Entries close at 2pm on Friday, 19 July. Visit prov.vic.gov.au for further details including prize money.
