Calls for expressions of interest on the old Bannockburn Shire Hall have gone out.

If the process seems familiar, it is, with the site first being approved for EOI in March by the then council, and subsequently offered up in mid-May, only to be curtailed by the second wave of the pandemic.

The first process failed to find a suitable lessee for the site.

Located at 12 High Street Bannockburn, the building was used as council meeting chambers until the new Golden Plains Civic Centre was opened in mid-2020.

The site features two large spaces, including the former council chamber, a kitchen and bathroom, further smaller rooms and is all-abilities accessible.

Zoned commercial 1, the old Shire Hall sits next to the Bannockburn Plaza, which itself is set for overhaul in the future.

The EOI process for the building closes at by 9am on Monday 11 January.
