BALLARAT Police have awarded their Blue Light Student of the Month Awards for February.

At Lumen Christi Primary School, the two awardees were Eliza in Grade 2 and Riley Grade, 4.

Eliza is a kind, caring and diligent student. She applies herself in all areas and models respectful behaviour for others. She often spends her lunchtimes walking around the yard, seeing how she can assist others and make the environment safe.

Riley Grade 4 – For always working diligently, respecting others, demonstrating lovely manners, and approaching his work with confidence and perseverance.

At Magpie Primary School the two nods went to Caleb, Grade 2 and Emma from Grade 6.

Caleb’s a student with good attendance and a friendly manner. He’s very caring about other students – especially those in the junior classes.

He sets a high standard of behaviour and does everything “flat out and to the best he can.”

Grade sixer, Emma, has high levels of attendance – 100% at this point – and she contributes to the school in many simple but effective ways.

Emma is also academically sound – well above expected levels, a Junior School Council member, always there for other children with a kind and supportive comment, lends a hand willingly and sets a very high standard for others to emulate. Emma is simply a quiet achiever.
