LOCAL early learning, kindergarten and primary school students are invited to enter this year’s National Water Week competition facilitated by Central Highlands Water.

National Water Week is held from 20 to 26 October and this year’s theme is Water Heroes: Save Every Drop.

The theme aims to encourage the community to recognise their role in conserving water.

“National Water Week is a chance to celebrate the vital role water plays in our lives and future,” Central Highlands Water managing director Jeff Haydon said.

“Through this year’s poster competition, we’re encouraging our youngest community members to become ‘water heroes’ by learning about the importance of saving every drop.

“It’s a creative and inspiring way to highlight how we can all make a difference in protecting this essential resource.”

Entries will be judged on creativity, reflection of the theme, and how it inspires the community to act.

Entries close at 5pm on Friday 6 September. For more information or to enter visit nationalwaterweek.com.au .
