Radio station requests feedback
COMMUNITY radio station, Voice FM is conducting a survey to inform a strategic review of their programming, operations and procedures.
Wanting to move into a 21st century broadcasting facility, Voice is hoping to relocate to Ballarat East’s Barkly Square.
Board Member, Ron Egeberg said survey feedback from Ballarat is crucial for the station to continue relevant broadcasting for a diverse listening audience, and take a step closer to their potential new home.
“The proposed relocation to Barkly Square will mean more space, better functioning facilities, extra studios and appropriate disability access, all of which complement Voice FM’s drive to further enhance and broaden its program diversity and community engagement,” he said.
“The team at Voice FM is planning to ensure that the station operates on a more professional footing, which is part of our renewal and reinvigoration program that will enhance the station’s look, feel and reputation.”
The station hopes to expand their youth offerings and continue to provide quality training, transferable skills and personal development.
“This continually evolving review will be for the betterment of Voice and our volunteer team,” Mr Egeberg said.
“This work we are doing will create clearer guidelines, processes and procedures that will support all aspects of the station’s operations for the future.”
Voice FM also wants to hear from people interested in volunteering with the station, getting involved with operational committees, on-air presentation or panel operation.
