Ready to rumba

TEN personalities from the Ballarat community will compete in a Ballarat Foundation fundraising event, Dancing with our Stars.

Amy McDonald, Dylan Lesock, George Fong, Mark Nunn, Shaun Moloney, Malcolm Roberts, Rosemary Aldrich, Robyn Upton, Liana Skewes and City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Samantha McIntosh are all breaking in their dancing shoes for the competition.

Each dancer is in rehearsals with a partner from The Dance Studio until Saturday, 22 June.

That night at the Civic Hall, a gala dinner will see each personality perform a unique ballroom routine.

A variety of styles will be presented and competitors are representing sponsors, raising money for local food security.

The public can find out more about the dancers’ backgrounds and sponsors, vote in a people’s choice award, donate money and purchase gala tickets at ballaratfoundation.org/dwos. Tickets are $180.
