Reserve taking glass

BUNINYONG’S glass collection point has been relocated by council to the Recreation Reserve.

Now accessible from Forest Street, the Pass on Glass site is a flexible size to allow for another skip bin if it is required.

Over thirty tonnes of glass was collected in Buninyong in the last three months of 2019. The village’s original 1.5 cubic metre skip was replaced with one twice the size within that period.

The new site is 450m away from the old Buninyong Pass on Glass point at the BP Service Station and newsagency. This site will no longer operate.

The City of Ballarat’s waste team has said glass from pick-up points across the whole council area has been very clean.
