MAUDE CFA is holding its annual trash, treasure and craft market on Sunday, 5 May.

Bron Warfe, Fundraising Sub-Committee Secretary, is putting out the call for anyone interested in setting up a free stall.

The brigade is raising funds to replace its oldest truck in the fleet.

Ms Warfe said it’s a great opportunity to have a fun day at the Reserve plonking down a swag of pre-loved items for someone else to buy.

“Empty out the stuff that’s been sitting in the back of your cupboards or in the shed that might fetch a dollar or two or more,” she said.

The brigade members will be on hand manning the barbeque cooking up sausages, egg and bacon rolls and burgers.

Ms Warfe said they are also looking for donations of goods for the CFA white elephant stall.

“If you don’t want to take a stall yourself, we will happily take anything, apart from electrical goods and TVs, to help us raise much needed funds,” she said.

She said the market is always well supported by the community with some people selling home grown vegies or even unwanted furniture and toys that the kids don’t use any more.

“In the past, depending on the weather, we’ve had somewhere between 20 to 40 stalls at the market,” Ms Warfe said.

“There is always plenty to choose from.”

The market will be held at the Maude Recreation Reserve, Steiglitz Road, Maude on Sunday, 5 May from 9.00am to 2pm.
