THE Ballarat Agricultural and Pastoral Society has announced that the Victorian Sheep Show, supported by Ballarat Grammar has been rescheduled to Sunday, 4 July to COVID-19 lockdown impacts.

Originally set for 20 June, organisers said the new date was contingent on future coronavirus restrictions.

“After missing the event in 2020 due to COVID-19 BAPS is looking forward to hosting some of Victoria’s best stud sheep breeders while also creating a celebration around fibre, local food and wine, fashion and farm,” a statement from BAPS said.

“Pending any further COVID-19 restriction updates, the event will continue as planned on the rescheduled date of 4th July.”

Taking place at the Ballarat Showgrounds, and along with the four-legged woolly wonders the event will also feature farming machinery, equipment and service displays, fashion parades and a lamb butchery exhibition.

There’ll also be cooking events with MasterChef contestant and toasty tzar Time Bone and the odd tipple from Michael Unwin Wines.
