GET hands on with leading crafters this March as Craft Alive will be back in Ballarat over three days offering a change for makers community can connect with retailers and suppliers, and discover new equipment.

The touring event is Australia’s largest craft event series.

Patchwork, paper craft, cake decorating, scrapbooking, quilting, stitchery, beading and much more will be on offer.

There will be interactive classes running all day and a chance to meet with specialists.

“There are designers from all over the country coming together at the Civic Hall to share knowledge, products and a passion for craft,” said event manager Sally Taylor.

“People come because they love it. It is as much a bringing together of the community than it is a craft event.

“There’s something for beginners right through to experienced and everything in between with three generations of families walking through the door.”

Ms Taylor said Craft Alive great opportunity for both experienced and new makers to try out different equipment.

“Someone may have been wanting to invest in a sewing machine for years but wanted to try it first and speak with an expert,” she said.

“We just say come along, enjoy the buzz and get involved.”
