THE characters of a quirky Australian comic duo are returning to the stage as part of the Ballarat Cabaret Festival.

The Sandman and Flacco’s Forevelyn will be performed at Ballarat Trades Hall on Saturday 18 November, including stand-up, and sit-down comedy, stories, music, and revelations.

“We are two senior men with immature hearts looking back over why we turned out the way we did,” Abbott said.

Festival director Issie Hart said organisers are excited to welcome the pair to Ballarat, especially as they’re not doing a show anywhere else in Australia.

“This is a Ballarat exclusive, and there’s no side shows, so we are lucky to have them,” they said.

“We’re hoping those much-loved household names will bring people out to experience the festival, and we hope they’ll stick around to try something new after they’ve been to something they’re familiar with.

“We love celebrating local cabaret artists and things people may not have seen before so we want them to feel safe and welcome to have a good time, and enjoy it all.”

Following Forevelyn will be the Festival Club variety show, full of festival artists, performers, and guests.

“We’re based at Trades Hall this year, which we’re really looking forward to,” Hart said.

“We’ve also great local and broader Australian artists part of that Festival Club variety show, and we may have a bonus performance from The Sandman and Flacco.”

Ballarat Trades Hall is at 24 Camp Street, and the show will start at 7.30pm, with tickets at bit.ly/3QgCWvU.
