THE creations of local artists are about to receive a wider audience with the Golden Spaces 2025 Summer Exhibition set to launch at the Golden Plains Twilight Market on Thursday.

Everyone is invited to get along to the launch that will take place on Thursday 4 December from 5.30pm to 6pm inside the Bannockburn Cultural Centre.

The summer exhibition will feature a catalogue of more than 20 artists showcasing a vibrant array of artworks.

Following its launch in Bannockburn, the exhibition will then travel throughout the shire over the next 12 months, a Golden Plains Shire spokesperson said.

“The aim of Golden Spaces is to encourage the broader community’s participation in the arts in a local setting while providing professional development opportunities for emerging and established artists in the shire,” the spokesperson said ahead of Thursday’s launch.

“The Golden Spaces Winter Exhibition 2025 is currently on display at The Well in Smythesdale and will move to the Golden Plains Civic Centre in early 2026.”

Golden Spaces is a free community-based program for group art exhibitions offering two opportunities for artists to apply to exhibit throughout the calendar year, with Expressions of Interest for the next intake to open in early 2026 for the 2026 Winter Exhibition.
