Take away more than a G&T
THE audience at Commerce Ballarat’s Business Day Out 2019 is in for a treat with a world class panel of speakers presenting to Ballarat and regional Victoria businesses on Wednesday, 29 May.
Matt Jones, Co-Founder and Creative Strategist at Four Pillars Gin, will wrap up the day with a conversation drawing on what he has learned as a start-up and what he is learning real-time in scaling up the gin business.
Mr Jones’ role at Four Pillars is leading and building the brand and customer experience that has helped make it one of Australia’s fastest-growing and most admired craft businesses.
His impact on navigating the growth phase of the business is formed from his background, a combination of working in political strategy, marketing, economics and brand building.
Mr Jones said he wants to help people who don’t come from a marketing or brand background understand the importance of managing the way that people feel.
“We are all in the business of trust,” he said.
“I want the delegates to walk away with the recognition that trust is something we feel not something we know, and to be able to identify what you want people to feel when they do business with you.
“This includes how you tell your business story and the experiences your customers have when engaging with you.”
Mr Jones said people have limited time and attention for all the things in their business.
Owners and leaders need help to know where to focus and where to target their limited time, energy and attention to achieve maximum effect.
During his address Mr Jones will provide answers to ‘what are we using to get our customers to trust us’ and ‘how do we focus our limited time and attention.’
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss Mr Jones, and the other speaker’s presentations, during the Four Pillars Gin and Tonic Hour at the conclusion of Business Day Out.
