Taps turned on at water park

CENTREPIECE of the multi-million-dollar Bannockburn Heart development, the water play space, has been switched on for summer.

The splash park will operate from 9am to 9pm daily.

As part of the preparation for turning in the taps, several peppercorn trees near the park were removed after it was found their leaves and berries were negatively impacting water quality.

In further works planned for the area a shade sail and extra seating will be installed at the space in 2021, while new artificial grass is also planned as part of stage two works at the Bannockburn Heart site.

New trees are also set to be planted during that phase of work.
