The Hopathon, a 0.6KM run for the rest of us
THE Hopathon is a fun run like no other, it’s a 600m run followed by a whole afternoon of fun.
Have you always wanted to say you’ve completed a fun run, but you’re not really the running type?
Then the Hopathon is for you, it’s a 600m run, not a hop, around the Hop Temple block.
Hop Temple is a venue committed to good food, good drink and raising money for local charities. Their Musical Bingo nights alone have raised over $60,000 for charity.
The Hopathon will be held on Saturday, 10 November, kicking off at 11.30am.
It’s a run with a difference, except one, it’s of course raising money for a great cause – The Special Care Nursery.
“When called upon the Special Care Nursery is vital in giving new born babies a help in their first few days of life,” said Geoff Millar, Director Foundation and Fundraising.
Tickets are $40 and include: $10 to the Special Care Nursery, T-Shirt, Headband, Medal and Pint.
“We’re really excited about this event, we think it’s going to be a whole lot fun and we hope to raise some much-needed funds for a service that has touched many of us over the years,” said Brian Taylor, Hop Temple Owner.
Upon completion of the gruelling 600m run, Hop Temple will have live music and other festivities in their laneway, Hop Lane.
