Time for a change

February 13, 2019 BY

DAYLIGHT savings ends at 2am Sunday, 7 April which is the signal to change smoke detector batteries.

For seniors unable or unwilling to climb a ladder, the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast once again is offering a free service to change the batteries.

Registrations for the service opened Monday, 11 February and close on Saturday, 9 March.

Teams of two from the club will pop by, one to hold the ladder the other to swap the batteries.

The free service allows the teams to replace batteries in two smoke alarms, if more than two need changing the householder will have to provide the extra batteries.

Club members will make the change on the weekend of Saturday, 6 April at either 9am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm and between 9am and 12pm on Sunday.

To register for assistance please call the office of Ray White Ballarat on 5333 4444.
