A COMMUNITY feedback session on the Smythesdale Structure Plan originally set for last weekend has been rescheduled after the snap COVID-19 lockdown limited in-person events.

An extra online session looking at the project has also been added for tonight, Thursday, 22 July between 4pm and 6pm, held via Zoom.

The new face-to-face event has been tentatively set for Saturday, 31 July between 10am and 12pm at the Well at Smythesdale.

The Smythesdale Structure Plan will look at issues like land availability, the environment and bushfire risks, while estimating Smythesdale’s potential residential and commercial growth.

Ultimately the document could influence planning scheme changes or highlight the need for additional open and recreational spaces, developments, or public infrastructure.

Public feedback on the structure plan is open until Thursday, 12 August.

Surveys can also be completed on the Shire’s website at goldenplains.vic.gov.au/consultations, and hardcopies which have been posted to Smythesdale and Scarsdale residents can be sent back via email to [email protected] or postal address , PO Box 111, Bannockburn, 3331.
