Upgrades to begin at skate park
LETHBRIDGE Skate Park is to be redeveloped by Golden Plains Shire and community members can share their priorities and aspirations for the area.
The aim of the project is to ensure the park meets community needs into the future.
Proposed upgrades will include improvements such as upgraded skate park facilities, a multi-use area, seating, shade and shelters, a drinking fountain, improved path networks and landscaping.
Golden Plains Shire mayor Cr Sarah Hayden encouraged residents to share their vision for the future.
“Council is committed to recreation opportunities for our community in Lethbridge, and this skate park upgrade is a key part of that commitment,” she said.
“We need your feedback to ensure the revitalised facility serves the community for years to come.
“The upgraded skate park will make an excellent addition to the new play space, providing an impressive, dynamic and inclusive recreation facility that will be a valuable addition to Lethbridge and surrounding towns.”
The survey will be open until Monday 24 February on the Golden Plains Shire website or at its customer hubs.
