THE wedding fair with a focus on supporting local businesses is back for another year.

The Ivory Haus Wedding Fair, led by Laura Feldman, aims to provide Ballarat residents with an option to shop local for their wedding.

Held on Sunday 24 March at the Goods Shed, the event will have over 40 wedding vendors and the first 50 couples through the door will receive a showbag.

“We usually have vendors which are suitable for all different types of budgets,” said Ms Feldman.

“It feels like a celebration, it is not just a corporate event.”

The event has grown in popularity and Ms Feldman is now putting on the fair twice a year.

Each fair is predicted to generate around $1.4 million for the local economy.

“Last year was the first time we did one at the start of the year and one at the end of the year,” she said.

“That was really well received and the couples love it.”

Entry is by donation to the Make a Wish Foundation and to find out more information visit the Ivory Haus website.
