RAZZAMATAZZ and style is back with the all-singing and dancing stage production, Puttin’ on the Ritz, starring performers from London’s West End.

The show will hit the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts stage on Tuesday, 11 June at 7.30pm, celebrating the glory days of Hollywood, and some of the most iconic music of that time.

Classics by George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter will be brought to the audience by a cast of 16 vocalists and 10 dancers, including I got Rhythm, Cheek to Cheek, Night and Day, and of course, Puttin’ on the Ritz.

Tamara Eden is one of the Australian stars, enjoying the show’s glamour and the company of her “amazing” cast members.

“I really love the fact that we are paying homage to this timeless music and bringing it to Australian audiences,” she said. “It’s truly a pleasure singing these beautiful songs.

“Our audiences will really enjoy the beautiful, big dance numbers. It’s exciting and the energy coming from the dancers is palpable.

“I’m looking forward to every part of the show, but particularly the really high energy numbers that I think will make the audience want to get up and dance too,” she said.

Ms Eden is excited to return to Ballarat.

“My mum took me to Ballarat as a child to go panning for gold and I remember it being such a wonderful day. I used to do the dancing competitions at South Street as a young girl, so it will be really lovely to revisit as an adult,” she said.

“Australia is such an amazing country. I can’t wait to share our history and culture with my cast from the UK.”
