Working group to improve Bakery Hill
RESIDENTS, business owners and shoppers are being called to contribute ideas to a new community working group for Bakery Hill.
Once established, the group will discuss future plans for the precinct, including Bridge Mall, as the area is a major entry point to the CBD from the east.
The City of Ballarat is seeking about 20 diverse people to discuss their aspirations for the space and hopes to transform Bakery Hill into a thriving urban place that is sustainable and inclusive.
Community discussions were launched last year with an online survey accepting suggestions of what people like or dislike about the space. At least 140 people contributed in the first phase.
Those interested can fill out an application form at mysay.ballarat.vic.gov.au. Expressions of interest close on Friday, 22 February.
