Full-on recognition for part-time Property Manager

Member of the Harcourts Ballarat rentals department breaks into top-20 ranked professionals for the firm statewide.

SHE’S been with the agency for just over twelve months, and a property manager for three, but Dayna Curmi, has already cracked the state’s top-20 list for like professionals in May.

It’s no small feat with there being over 200 property managers across the Harcourts network in Victoria, and Ms Curmi working part-time.

She said she was thankful for the opportunities moving to the firm had provided her.

“Harcourts Ballarat has been a fantastic steppingstone in my career in real estate,” she said.

“They have given me the flexibility of a work life balance, with two young children, this is the difference in performance for me. I am very grateful and thankful to them for allowing me to have this opportunity, working part time and still having plenty of time for my kids so I don’t miss out on any of their milestones and achievements.”

The firm’s property manager rankings are based on several criteria.

They include the number of properties rented out, how many vacancies the manager has, lease renewals and rental arrears.

Ms Curmi’s journey started as an assistant in the property management department and she’s only been in the big job for a short time.

“I was able to take the next step in becoming a Property Manager with my own portfolio this year, so to have been in the top-20 in Victoria in only three short months has been absolutely amazing. It is great to be recognised,” she said.

“I believe my time with Harcourts Ballarat has had a big impact on me achieving my goals, and I believe their management and support has reflected in how I have gotten to where I am at today.”

Ms Curmi joined Harcourts Ballarat about 12 months ago from another agency after selling her home through what would become her new employer.

Director Peter Ludbrook said Ms Curmi brought many great attributes to her job and the agency, and management were happy to help her find a work life balance so she could succeed.

“She has been a wonderful addition to our team with her fantastic attention to detail and strong work ethic,” Mr Ludbrook said. “It’s those qualities that have seen her recognised at a statewide level for her effort.

“Dayna is a true quiet achiever, always alert and ready to offer assistance to anyone who needs it. With a young family to look after as well, we have been able to arrange her hours so they work for everyone.
