Cycling Burrumbeet Points Race
SUNDAY 19 May, saw twenty-five riders sign on for Graded Division points racing – in somewhat balmy conditions for this time of year.
The event was held on the new Burrumbeet circuit.
Riders contested sprints each lap, with three points earned for first place, two points for second place and one for third.
The points total decided the outcome of each division.
Jason Birch continued his new affiliation with winning, comprehensively taking the points in
Division 1.
Division 2 was decided on the last sprint with Craig Lightfoot holding out a determined Darryn Reed.
Mark O’Callaghan won all eight sprints to completely dominate Division 3 and ensure he never competes in that division again.
