Dunnstown rocking on a roll

Ballan v Dunnstown
THE Towners are looking to make it three in a row as they head twenty minutes down the highway to play the struggling Blues. Ballan were handed another 100-plus-point shellacking by Gordon last weekend and with the Towners in good touch it wouldn’t surprise pundits if that was the case again. Prediction – Dunnstown by 60 points.

Clunes v Gordon
Adam Toohey kicked eight goals last week for the Eagles and should be thinking of another big bag when his side makes the trip to Clunes. Sadly, the Magpies sit on the bottom of the ladder in the Bendigo Bank & Rural Bank Central Highlands Football League, and with no real light at the end of the tunnel, we can expect the Eagles to put another massive dagger into the hearts of Clunes fans. Prediction – Gordon… by a lot.

Creswick v Beaufort
It’s a big day for the Wickers this weekend with a third consecutive loss all but ending their season. The Crows were back to their destructive best against the also struggling Hoppers with premiership player, Lachlan Murray, bagging six in a best on ground performance. A win either way is huge for each other’s respective seasons, but the Crows may just have too much class in this one. Prediction – Beaufort by 24 points.

Daylesford v Newlyn
After an embarrassing 131-point loss last week to Springbank, there is not a lot more you can say in this one then ‘the Cats will win by a staggering margin.’ Prediction – Newlyn by 100 plus.

Learmonth v Buninyong
Match of the round as the Lakies host the high-flying Bombers. Buninyong once again look the real deal and have their firepower back up forward to maybe go one step further this year. Learmonth is desperate to get back to playing finals footy and with all to play for in this one, could they pull off one of the upsets of the season? Prediction – Buninyong in a tighter on then people would expect.

Rokewood-Corindhap v Hepburn
Off the back of the bye, the Burra will be looking to make a big statement heading into the finals with the club still a couple games outside the top four. On the flip side the Hoppers bad run of form continued last week with their astronomical fall from grace not going to get an easier. Hoppers fans can’t wait for season 2020. Prediction – Hepburn comfortably.

Carngham Linton v Springbank
Although the upset of the season didn’t occur last week, the Saints did compete against Bungaree and back at Linton they should also provide some form of challenge for the Tigers. Todd Finco was superb with five goals for the Tigers last week and could be once again a major factor in this one being either just a win or a comfortable win. Prediction – Springbank by 40 points.

Waubra v Bungaree
Eleven games… eleven wins! That’s the story of the Kangaroos this season and another home game presents a big opportunity for win number 12. With Skipton having the bye this week, a win for the Demons would mean they jump into the top eight for the first time this season, but it would be a hell of shock to everyone if that was the case. Prediction – Waubra go 12-0.
