THE Victorian Hobie Cat State Titles sailed into Ballarat over the long weekend, on two and one hulls.

While racing was cancelled on Saturday due to lack of wind the catamarans took to water on the Sunday and Monday for thrilling yachting action.

The event was run by the Hobie Cat Association Victoria and for some competitors, like formally Ballarat based Georgia Warren-Myers, it served as a practice run for the upcoming world championships.

Final results:

Hobie Dragoon – 1st – Oliver Horden and Billy Horden, 2nd – Zoe Morris and Matilda, 3rd – Connell Green and Orlando Yen

Hobie 16 Open – 1st – Cam Weddel and Naomi, 2nd – Geoff Rowden and Rosie (masters), 3rd – Upu and Jack

Hobie 14 – 1st – Fletcher Warren-Myers, 2nd – Aaron Green (youth), 3rd – Sam Norris
