Monday bowls hits the stretch

WITH round 16 in the Ballarat District Bowls Division Monday Pennant completed, and with only more to go, all teams are endeavouring to end the season with a win and perhaps make the final four or at least hold their present positions on the ladder.

PREMIERS – The top four remains the same but with Midlands having a convincing win over Central Wendouree they are still in the running to make play finals and are only eight points out of it. Third placed City Oval defeated ladder leader BMS and should hold steady.

DIVISION 1 – The top four in this division has changed, Victoria are still in first, Smeaton, with a 19 shot win over Sebastopol, have moved to second, Beaufort have rision one position to be in third, followed by Webbcona who were defeated by City Oval.

DIVISION 2 – The top four positions have also changed. Linton secured full points with a win over Learmonth and now occupy top position on the ladder. Smeaton were victorious over Sebastopol, Learmonth went down to third on a loss and Central Wendouree remain fourth.

DIVISION 3 – Central Wendouree had a seven-shot win over Learmonth, Creswick defeated Ballarat by eight, other winners were Victoria, Smeaton, and Webbcona. Top four is Webbcona, Creswick, Central Wendouree and Victoria.

DIVISION 4 – Victoria and Bungaree drew, Buninyong 2, Ballarat North, Clunes, Creswick and Beaufort all had comfortable wins over their opponents. Top four is Ballarat North followed by Bungaree, Beaufort and Creswick.
