REP NETBALL’S FALL 11 SHORT

BALLARAT’S Interleague netball squad has gone down fighting, losing by 11 goals to the Hampden Netball League at Mars Stadium on Saturday.
It was closest at the first quarter change, with just three goals favouring the visitors, 15-12, before Hampden made the gap six by half time.

Both sides had an even penultimate period, sinking 13 goals each. However, Hampden again dropped the hammer in the last, running out 55-44 winners.
Lake Wendouree stalwart Kirsty Walsh was named best on court for Ballarat.
