NOT much movement in positions following the return round of Ballarat District Bowls Division action. Ballarat are still leading the field defeating BMS, 70-57. Victoria took full points from Webbcona, 77-70. Learmonth and Buninyong had a close match, with Learmonth winning, 64-62. Creswick defeated Central Wendouree, 77-52, and Sebastopol got the win over Mt Xavier, 73-66.

City Oval secured top spot defeating Linton, 106-88. The return of Heath Fumberger will definitely strengthen the Hawks Nest. Linton move down into second place. Webbcona’s loss to Waubra pushes them out of third and Midlands move up defeating Ballarat East, 112-80. Beaufort had a comfortable win against Sebastopol, 106 – 67. Avenue and Smeaton could not be split drawing the game and sharing the points.

Bungaree stay on top of the ladder despite losing to Linton in a close battle, 96-90. Creswick maintain second even though they lost to Central Wendouree, 99-79. Learmonth’s win against Sebastopol, 114-91 moves them into third spot, pushing Sebastopol down to fourth. Smeaton had a comfortable win against Avenue, 111-69. Midlands also had a strong win against Webbcona, 120-68.

There is no movement in the top four positions in this division. Mt Xavier upset the ladder leaders BMS winning, 104-89. Victoria maintain second place defeating Webbcona, 117-84. Daylesford scraped home against Central Wendouree, 89-86. City Oval had a good win defeating Sebastopol, 105-88. Avenue were too strong for Buninyong victors, 108-82.
DIVISION 5
There is big movement in this division. Waubra jump from third into first off the back of a big win over Ballarat East, 118-61. Midlands defeated Victoria 101-80 and are in second by percentage. Both Waubra and Midlands sit on 129 points. Learmonth defeated Smeaton, 90-59 swapping places on the ladder. Creswick won over City Oval, 94-81, and they also swaped places on the table. Beaufort secured the win against Sebastopol, 93-79.
DIVISION 6
BMS are still leading despite their loss to Clunes, 94-79. Central Wendouree stay in second place drawing against Ballarat North, 106-106. Bungaree defeated Sebastopol, 97-86 and City Oval had a strong win defeating Invermay, 95-69.
DIVISION 7
Linton and Ballarat had an extremely close match with the former victors by one-shot, 89-88 and subsequently hold top position. Ballarat stay in second. Midlands loss to BMS, 97-90, pushes them down to fifth spot. Ballan move into third place off the back of the bye. Buninyong had a strong win against Sebastopol, 118-72, and Mt Xavier defeated Victoria, 104-87.
DIVISION 8
Daylesford were too strong for Central Wendouree, 69-27. Waubra had a close game against Learmonth. Waubra were victors by two shots, 45-43. Bungaree defeated Buninyong 62-40. City Oval gave a walkover to Ballarat North, as did Ballarat to Smeaton.
