Silver and bronze from Little Aths competition return

BUNINYONG Little Athletics, which officially relaunched in October this year, took part in the Little Athletics Regional Relay Carnival on Sunday.

Nine competitors attended a relay meet in Warrnambool, making history as the first representatives of Buninyong Little Athletics in competition.

They were rewarded for their efforts with two silver, one bronze and some very big smiles.

“All of our kids did such a great job, maintained a really positive attitude through the whole day and were very considerate of others and extremely well behaved. We are so proud of them,” said team manager Sara Isaac.

Buninyong Little Athletics has had over 90 kids registered since their launch only six weeks ago and committee member Sara Mangere said that, “The Buninyong community have been incredibly supportive and the Friday night sessions have been a great addition for local kids – we couldn’t be happier with the way the program is running.”
