Yell for the Rebels

SUPER Rugby action gets underway on Friday night with the Melbourne Rebels tackling the Queensland Reds in a pre-season game at Mars Stadium.

The goal posts were installed last week and line markings laid down more recently in preparation for what’ll be the first of many Super Rugby games over the next three years.

The City of Ballarat has entered into a deal with the Rebels to bring more rugby to Mars Stadium.

Along with the match there’ll be a range of activities at Mars Stadium during the event for all ages with women and girls a focus as the city ties to get more people active.

Rebels v Reds gets underway at 6pm, this Friday, 1 February.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for concession including students and pensioners and kids under 16 are free.
