Young netballers wanted for Warriors
WOADY Yaloak Football Netball club is looking for young netballers to join a new under 15 squad.
For the first time, the club will have one or two under 15 teams in the Ballarat Football Netball League next season with games to be played Sundays, and training to be run twice a week.
Long-time club members Matilda and Chloe are too old for the under 13 team, and netball coordinator Bobby Morris said this is what inspired the club to create a new team.
“Chloe and Matilda aged out of 13s and those two girls are part of the fabric of the club,” he said.
“They’ve been here for a long time and it’s our commitment to them to keep them at the club.”
Chloe has been a member of the club since its formation, and she said she enjoys the community atmosphere.
“Woady is a really good club and we’re kind of like a big family,” she said.
“We’re all really close and it’s really fun.”
Mr Morris thanked the BFNL for its support with setting up the new team. To register interest, visit the Woady Warriors website.
