GOLDEN Plains Shire council has begun developing of a four-year municipal Early Years and Children’s Plan.<\/p>\n

The plan will focus on supporting families and children aged zero to 12 within the Shire.<\/p>\n

There will be a range of engagement opportunities to gather insights from residents including one-on-one consultations, a community wide survey, and pop ups, listening sessions, and workshops.<\/p>\n

Golden Plains Shire CEO Shane Walden said it is important to understand the needs and priorities of families, carers and young children in the Shire.<\/p>\n

“The municipal early years and children’s plan will serve as a strategic roadmap for council’s approach to early childhood development and family support over the next four years,” he said.<\/p>\n

“This initiative underscores council’s commitment to creating an environment where our children can thrive, and families can access the support they need.”<\/p>\n
