Are you receiving financial assistance?<\/strong> Very modest, self-funded.<\/p>\n For you, what are the three most important issues in your electorate?<\/strong> Cost of Living Crisis \u2013 Stop the band-aid responses both major parties offering short term handouts and rebates, none of which address the real underlying causes. These short-term measures require funding which means other services will be cut or taxes increased. Until we address the causes and introduce real structural changes that deliver real relief, we will continue down the road with people struggling for the basics making choices food, housing or bills this week. I am Treasurer at a community centre in Corio and a lifetime volunteer, most recently with local food banks. I am a past and present community sports player (beach volleyball, footy, cricket, netball), and an AFLW Cats member. \nYouth crime; Incentives to help educate our kids and teach them essential life skills by joining programs such as Scouts, Cadets, Girl Guides and local sporting teams. I would like to see more opportunities for high school age kids to be able to start affordable trade school or higher education to get a head start in life.
\nHealthcare and family support; I support pensioners, veterans and those with disabilities or on the NDIS, and want to help them be able to return to safe accommodating workforce. I want to support victims of domestic violence by creating more safe places to go. I support people who have ASD to make the condition more aware in our community and accommodating at schools and in the workplace.<\/p>\n

\nHousing Affordability and Availability Crisis \u2013 The demand for private housing, social housing and associated infrastructure is exceeding our current capacity to construct. We need to reduce the demand drivers, such as high levels of immigration until development is back on track. This demand is also contributing to cost increases across the economy.
\nHealth and Community Services Crisis \u2013 Lack of bulk billing GP\u2019s clinics is adding to the cost-of-living issues. Urgent Care Centres are designed to reduce waiting list at emergency departments and not replace GP\u2019s. We need to work on prevention and improving health reducing demand and spending in longer term.
