A FREE, environmentally focused walk and talk will be held at the Clarkesdale Bird Sanctuary in Happy Valley later this month.<\/p>\n

The Photosynthesis event, organised by the Golden Plains Shire Council and the Golden Plains Youth Activation Committee, will allow participants to learn about local and non-native flora and fauna.<\/p>\n

It is open to residents of all ages and will also include expert talks, a guided walk, and a flora and fauna bingo game.<\/p>\n

“This event is an initiative of the Golden Plains Youth Activation Committee and is a fantastic opportunity to learn about our local natural environment and sustainability practices while engaging with expert guest speakers on Golden Plains’ native flora and fauna,” mayor Cr Sarah Hayden said.<\/p>\n

Guest speakers will include Emily Noble of BirdLife Australia and Bianca Fammartino of the Leigh Catchment Group.<\/p>\n
