“This intergenerational project has provided wonderful opportunities for all, and it was wonderful for the young volunteers to have the chance to meet other volunteers and see them in action.”<\/p>\n
The young photographers who took most of the pictures were Kenzie Dawber and Declan Davidson.<\/p>\n
Kenzie also volunteers with the Shire’s Youth Activation Committee, a leadership group dedicated to advocating on behalf of young Golden Plains people.<\/p>\n
Declan is also a member of the committee.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will be on show at The Well in Smythesdale, along with the Golden Plains Civic Centre in Bannockburn, later this year.<\/p>\n
National Volunteer Week began on 19 May, and this year has the theme of ‘Connecting Communities’.<\/p>\n
