GENKIFIT’S clubbercise and barre classes are set to return for seven weeks at Smythesdale.<\/p>\n

Clubbercise combines cardio, club music and glow sticks, while barre includes low impact moves to stretch, sculpt and strengthen.<\/p>\n

Instructor Jaymee Ellis said clubbercise a great way to enjoy the fun of clubbing and dancing without the hangover.<\/p>\n

“It becomes that night out without actually having to have a night out,” she said.<\/p>\n

“You don’t have to go clubbing but you’re still feeling that really energetic club vibe, which for a lot of people was a fun part of their early twenties.<\/p>\n

“Being able to experience that again without the hangover or the late night is a really fun way for them to throw back to when they were younger.”<\/p>\n

The classes will run on Friday evenings from Friday, July 18 and will form part of GenkiFit’s winter challenge which began earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The challenge can be done from home or at in-person classes and also includes access to resources about nutrition.<\/p>\n

Those not taking part in the challenge can take part in seven weeks of clubbercise for $30 or individual classes cost $5.<\/p>\n

Ms Ellis said inclusivity had always been central to her role as a fitness instructor.<\/p>\n

“It’s so important to me that anyone who wants to be able to access fitness classes or information about how to be healthier is able to do it.<\/p>\n

“I think in rural and regional areas it is a lot harder and I’m really glad to be part of that change.”<\/p>\n
