VEOLIA has been announced as Central Highlands Water’s strategic partner to provide operations and maintenance service at the region’s water treatment plants.<\/p>\n
The 15-year contract will see Veolia work with Central Highlands Water at White Swan, Lal Lal, Blackwood, Beaufort, Clunes and Forest Hill plants, known as Water6.<\/p>\n
The announcement comes following a two-year tendering process.<\/p>\n
“Together with Veolia we will focus on innovation, optimisation and efficiency, and embracing opportunities, particularly those relating to climate adaptation and emissions reduction,” Central Highlands Water managing director Jeff Haydon said.<\/p>\n
“We’ve developed this agreement in a way that allows all involved to thrive, encourages adaptability and builds the capabilities of all involved.<\/p>\n
“This new chapter marks the transition from a long-term relationship with Ballarat Water, who have supported us to provide safe, secure drinking water for 25 years.”<\/p>\n
Veolia Australia and New Zealand CEO and managing director Richard Kirkman said he is pleased to get working with Central Highlands Water.<\/p>\n
“Veolia is delighted to be partnering with Central Highlands Water for the next 15 years to deliver safe, reliable and affordable water services to the communities served by the Water6 water treatment plants,” he said.<\/p>\n
