{"id":104791,"date":"2026-02-06T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=104791"},"modified":"2026-02-05T09:48:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T22:48:12","slug":"daredevils-on-two-wheels-coming-to-mars-stadium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/daredevils-on-two-wheels-coming-to-mars-stadium\/","title":{"rendered":"Daredevils on two wheels coming to Mars Stadium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MARS Stadium will host what is being billed as the greatest show on two wheels when the Freestyle Kings Live tour comes to Ballarat next weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The show will be two hours of leading Australian and international motocross and BMX riders performing choreographed tricks and stunts, with pyrotechnics and theatrics in an event for all ages.<\/p>\n<p>It will take place from 3pm to 5pm, with tickets available through Ticketek.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/02\/BraydenDaviesfromPer_52657.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Skills: Brayden Davies will be part of the lineup at Mars Stadium.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Headlining the bill on Sunday 15 February will be Australia&#8217;s most famous stunt rider Robbie Maddison \u2013 regarded as the modern-day Evel Knievel \u2013 and his sons Kruz, 14, and Jagger, 11, who combined are billed as the nation&#8217;s first family of action sports.<\/p>\n<p>As well as the Maddisons, the lineup will feature 10-times X Games gold medallist Rob Adelberg, world champions Clinton Moore and Pat Bowden, and BMX stars Harley Allen and Ellie Chew.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/02\/EllieChewBMX-1_56945.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Star power: BMX rider Ellie Chew will demonstrate her skills during the Freestyle Kings Live show.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Top-tier athletes such as Lance Russell, Jett Anderson, Brayden Davies and Callum Shaw round out the bill.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;At 43 years old, it is no secret that I am closer to the end of my freestyle motocross career than I am to the start,&#8221; Maddison said before the tour&#8217;s launch in Tasmania.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My accomplishments on a dirt bike have been beyond my wildest dreams, but by far my greatest achievement is watching my three boys share the same passion I have for this sport and to see them push through the nerves and perform in sell-out shows across the globe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They are little showmen at heart and, while I might be a bit biased, I think it&#8217;s the favourite part of the show for the crowd.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<p>For his part, Adelberg enjoys taking the show to regional audiences.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m from regional Victoria and my dirt bike has taken me all over the world for the last 20 years,&#8221; Cr Hargreaves said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know there will be plenty of attention when this talented group of death-defying thrillseekers comes to our city.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Promoter Josh Hannah said including Ballarat and other country centres like Horsham on the tour could be seen as an &#8220;odd&#8221;
