A NEW virtual tool is set to make it easier for people across the region to access information, ask questions and connect with Cafs’ Financial Counselling Programs.<\/p>\n

The child and family service organisation has launched the new Financial Wellbeing Virtual Helper to support community access to financial counselling.<\/p>\n

It is now available on the organisation’s Financial Wellbeing webpage.<\/p>\n

The private and accessible Virtual Helper provides support for community members at any time of the day, especially for anyone who needs information outside business hours or is unsure about reaching out.<\/p>\n

Cafs CEO Wendy Sturgess said the new Virtual Helper will make accessing financial wellbeing services easier for people experiencing financial stress.<\/p>\n

“Cost\u2013of\u2013living pressure continues to affect individuals and families across our community,” Ms Sturgess said.<\/p>\n

“We want to remove barriers to support.<\/p>\n

“The Virtual Helper helps people get clear, reliable information quickly, and make the first step toward speaking with a financial counsellor if they need it.”<\/p>\n

Cafs financial counsellors can help with managing debts, dealing with creditors, budgeting support, understanding rights, and connecting with other services.<\/p>\n

The Virtual Helper will give users information on topics like how the counselling works, eligibility and what to expect, debt and navigating financial difficulty, and how to request an appointment.<\/p>\n

The tool is not a replacement for human support but is designed as an additional access point with community members still able to connect directly with Cafs staff by phone, email or in person.<\/p>\n

“The Virtual Helper reflects Cafs’ commitment to innovation and accessibility,” Ms Sturgess said.<\/p>\n

“We know that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming.<\/p>\n

“This tool gives people a safe and simple way to ask questions and find the information they need, when they need it.<\/p>\n

“It’s another way we’re supporting financial wellbeing in our region.”<\/p>\n
