“People seemed to really enjoy themselves,” she said. “The observers seemed to have a really good time, and the participants did amazingly.”<\/p>\n
She said the soccer match, which was organised as part of a club the committee is starting, was an outstanding part of the event that attracted players young and old.<\/p>\n
“The soccer game was a real highlight, we had four years old up to 72,” she said “There was passion and energy and many, many laughs.”<\/p>\n
Mrs Cannon said the committee was pleased to organise something locals could embrace.<\/p>\n
“The committee enjoys being able to offer something for our community and see people having a great time,” she said.<\/p>\n
She said the organisation now turned its attention to hosting a movie afternoon on 11 April and an upgrade of its community garden on 18 April.<\/p>\n
